GRANDPARENTS DAY REPORT
Grandparents fill the world with love and warmth and their presence lay a strong foundation for any family. Children imbibe values, love and respect from them which help them in the long run. It was time for the tiny cherubs of Ahlcon International School to reciprocate to their love and honour their grandparents for the place they hold in their hearts.
A special event ‘Grandparents Day’ was organized in the school premises on Saturday,28th September’2019 to commemorate the ‘International Day of Older Persons’ which is celebrated annually on October 1 worldwide.
The big day began by seeking the blessings of the almighty, followed by a video message from our respected Principal Sir, Mr. Sanjay Yadav in welcoming the grandparents. Our beloved Headmistress Ma’am, Ms. Anju Gupta and Section Coordinator, Ms. Pooja Shandilya visited all the classes and personally met and welcomed all the grandparents.
The grand celebration took place in the respective Nursery classrooms where children sang beautiful song dedicated to their grandparents. The cheerful smiles and teary eyes of grandparents showed how overwhelmed and touched they were with the mesmerizing performances given by the children. Grandparents revisited their childhood through a number of exciting games that were planned for them by the teachers. They also sang bhajans and danced to their favourite old melodies and participated whole- heartedly to make this event a huge success. At the end, children presented beautiful handmade souvenirs to their grandparents as a token of their love and admiration.
It was a day filled with memories that will be cherished by grandparents forever as they were in all praises and appreciated the efforts put up by the teachers and children to make them feel joyful and elated. Their presence brought in goodness and positivity to the entire school campus.
