Hindi Solo Rhyme Online Competition
“Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words” -Robert Frost
Imagination is greater than knowledge and encouraging students to be creative is as important as academics. Keeping this in mindAhlcon International School conducted Hindi Solo Rhyme Online Competition for Pre-Primary students on Wednesday, 15th July 2020 through virtual stage. Educating young minds through books is not the only medium of knowledge, giving them a platform to practice self-expression through competitions enhances the whole process of learning and growing. At Ahlcon, we believe that rhyme recitation is an effective way for children to increase their appreciation for language and strengthen their mastery over soft skills. Theme of the competition, ‘SDGs - 17 Sustainable Development Goals enabledstudents to choose topics pertinent to global issues like Saving Environment, Education for all, Gender Equality, Good Health and Well-being, Clean and affordable energy and so on. They beautifully recited these rhymes with actions and a lot of confidence. Amazing props, self-designed costumes by parents and the efforts taken to prepare children perform to the best of their abilities was praiseworthy. The competition provided a significant platform to children, facilitating them to express their thoughts and emotions in a beautiful and effective way. It not only helped them develop their memorization skills, deepened their understanding of the languagebut also enhanced their phonemic awareness and their self-confidence to overcome the fearof speaking publicly. The E-Certificate Distribution Ceremony tookplace on Friday, 17th July’ 2020 on Zoom platform where respected Principal Sir, Headmistress Ma’am and Section Coordinator Ma’am appreciated incredible performances by children and congratulated the earnest efforts of parents in preparing them for the same.
