Blog Report on Food Fiesta

To establish a platform of bringing Internationalism into classes and broaden children’s horizon about the cultural heritage, values, cuisines and stories of three different countries - India, Somalia and Italy, a “Food Fiesta” (under ISA Project) was organised on Monday, 14th October’2019 by the Nursery Department. The objective of the event was to make children understand as well as explore the different traditions and cuisines of three countries.
Students sported traditional costumes and greeted guests in the country’s native languages. The tiny chefs charmed everyone with their culinary expertise as they emphasized on healthy food and good eating habits. Food stalls of these countries were decorated and installed very carefully which gave visitors and guests a complete feeling of being transported to that particular country.
Children mesmerised everyone with their stupendous performance on Italian dance, ‘Tarantella’ and ‘Rajasthani Folk Dance’.
The grand success of Food Fiesta calls for a special mention of all the parents, who gave their wholehearted support in preparing children for the event and helping them polish their culinary skills.
The event was a huge success as it gave the tiny tots exposure to endorse their public speaking skills with confidence and helped them experience the diversity in cuisines and cultures of other countries.
