Report on ‘Articulate’ Workshop
On 17th August' 2019, I (Pooja Singh) and Ms. HinaTejwani, got the opportunity to attend the workshop on Art ‘Articulate’ which was conducted by PitambarPublishing and Rising Sun. It was a great learning experience for both of us. The resource persons were Ms. Aditi Misra (Principal DPS, Gurugram), Ms. Madhumita Nandi (Art teacher) and Ms. BhavnaSrivastava (Art Teacher). The workshop commenced with lamp lighting followed by an introductory session taken by Aditi ma’am where she emphasized on the importance of art in our day-to-day life. She also gave a brief overview of different stages of Artistic Developments followed by reflection of Art Education in School and at home. She finished her session by laying stress upon the cross-curricular links between Art, Music and other subjects. Later, MS. Madhumitaand Ms. Bhavna discussed on various activities which can help to foster creativity and imagination in young minds. Many crafted objects and art pieces were displayed and simple craft activities catering to different classes were shared. Fish & fan making through easy paper craft and different images using Tangram shapes were done during the workshop. We learnt drooling where a complete story can be developed using a simple cutout. Micrograph Art was the new experience for both of us and we really enjoyed the Spoonerism activity a lot which not onlyenhances vocabulary but is a good mood changer as well.
It seems that our colleagues have learnt a lot new things through this workshop and soon we will learn from them.
