First Aid Training Session for Supporting Staff (Didi’s)
Safety and security of the children both in school as well as in the bus during transit is the key priority of school. Keeping this in mind, a session was organised on 1 st September 2018 to educate
the supporting staff on First Aid to be provided to children. This session was taken by Ms. Regi (Nurse) and Ms. Hema Bhargava in the school medical room. All the supporting staff (didi’s) were
made aware of the following points -
1. Step wise guidance on how to give first aid to a child if he\she
gets hurt in the bus during transit.
2. In case a child is bleeding or gets a cut, then how to use
antiseptic liquid (Savlon or Dettol) and then bandage (if
required) in the correct way.
3. No oral medicine to be given to children by the support staff.
4. In case of any mishappening, information needs to be
immediately passed on to AHM ma’am and the Transport
Incharge.
During this training the didi’s had many questions which were very well answered by Ms. Regi (Nurse). After attending this session, the didi’s are now well aware of how to give First Aid to the
children when required from the First Aid Box.
