Report on ‘Teaching in Digital Era’
An In-house workshop on ‘Teaching in Digital Era’was conducted by Pre-Primary teachers Ms. Ritu Patheja, Ms. Shikha Kwatra, Ms. Tina Chopra, Ms. Sonam Narula and Ms. Nidhi Tiwari on Friday, 6th December'19 in the school premises. The resource persons emphasized that Digital learning is any instructional practice that effectively uses technology to strengthen a student’s learning experience. It emphasizes high-quality instruction and provides access to challenging content, feedback through formative assessment, opportunities for learning anytime and anywhere.
The team conducted various activities that focused on the use of technology in the classroom. They further explained on how to create a personalized blog wherein teachers can post their self-composed articles, poems etc. They sensitized the fellow teachers about the advantages of using technology in various forms. Online educational apps and portals were also shared by the team in order to make sure that the process of learning and teaching is not only focused in the classroom, but also by using digital media and online portals like Khan Academy, Byjus etc. However, the team emphasized that the students must be supervisedby the educators, in order to ensure that they choose positive aspects of technological advancements.
The participants were encouraged to share their experiences on how they have incorporated and updated themselves as far as working with the technology is concerned.
Principal Sir, Mr. Sanjay Yadav gave his valuable inputs and encouraged the teachers to change and update themselves with the changing time. Section coordinator, Ms. Pooja Shandilya appreciated the team’s efforts and highlighted that flexibility and adaptability are the two important aspects that educators must focus on while dealing with 21s century learners.
Participants were happy and gave their worthy feedback on a positive note.
