Rocksport

EXCURSION TO ROCKSPORT
The most awaited day of the year for any child during his school life is the day of picnic. With the same spirit in mindAhlcon International School organized a fun filled excursion for its students of Preprimary on Thursday, 28th November’19 to Muddy BootsAdventure Camp – Rocksport (Greater Noida).
With lot of enthusiasm, we started in the morning from the school in the respective buses and eagerly looked forward to reaching the venue. Children vigorously participated in various activities like zip-line, Burma Bridge, Commando Net, Tyre Crawl etc. Camp Muddy Boots offered an unconventional twist to picnic by bringing students close to nature and engaged them in activities that inspired healthy habits like collaborative work, decision making and leadership skillsChildrenenjoyed lip-smacking breakfast, followed by scrumptiouslunch and mouthwatering snacks. Students also swayed to their favourite songs played by DJ and dazzled the dance floor. It was a thrilling and spectacular excursion for the children who were happily engaged in various activities throughout the day and loved the closeness they shared with their teachers. Both teachers and students had an amazing experience that certainly refreshed their mindsand added everlasting memories for them to cherish.

Awareness about traffic rules are very important for all of us to ensure our safety on road. Keeping this in mind, Ahlcon International School organized the Traffic Rules Day in the Basketball Court on Wednesday, 4th December 2019 for the children of Pre-Primary classes. A road and a zebra crossing were created, and children brought bikes from home which wasused to create traffic on both sides of the road. Representatives from Traffic department graced the event and explained children about the road safety measures.  
Deevit Luthra of Prep-E, who came dressed up as a Traffic Police Officer, confidently spoke about certain important Traffic rules which everybody should follow while travelling on theroad. The programme started when Deevit gave a green signal to start off the traffic. Children who were riding their bikes didn’t stop until the yellow and red light were shown to themTheirpedestrian friends then started walking on the zebra crossing to cross the road. Respected Principal Sir, Mr. Sanjay Yadav and Headmistress, Ms. Anju Gupta and Section Coordinator, Ms. Pooja Shandilya were also present to witness the programmeand boosted the morale of the children. Traffic Police Officers gave valuable insights on the traffic rules like maintaining safety on roads, repercussions of over speedingand keeping the roads clean while travelling. Children had a delightful learning experience as they got a sense of driving on roads and also their awareness of significant traffic rules got enhanced.







ISA Quiz

ISA QUIZ

Ahlcon International School successfully conducted aISA quiz in the school campus on Thursday 21st November’ 19 for the students of Class Prep. The theme of the quiz was based on ISA where children were asked various questions related to countries like Somalia, Italy and India
The objective was not only to enhance their awareness about the cultural differences and similarities amongthese countries but also to develop their critical thinking skills, improve their team building spirit by training them to reply and respond by taking turns. Children gained lot of exposure and insights as it was their maiden opportunity of experiencing and participating in a quiz.
This quiz comprised of four rounds with interactive activities such as Visual Round (where children were asked to circle the correct picture on the smart board), Puzzle Round (where teams had to complete the given puzzle), Sketching Round (in which the child had to draw the answer) and Tie-Breaking Round. Apart from that, interesting questions related to apparelsfood, monuments, and national symbols, famous personalities of these countries were asked. The competition was tough and after two tie breaking rounds, winner team was declared. It was a learning and enriching experience for all.

The children of Nursery D conducted their class assembly on Wednesday, 27th November'19. Theme of the assembly was based on the SDG (15) Life on land. The assembly began by chanting of Gayatri Mantra followed by thought for the day spoken by Myra who urged her fellow friends to love and care for animals as they help in maintaining the balance of nature.

Students performed a skit on 'Save forest, Save Animals' in which they emphasized the fact that how humans exploit the nature, encroach the habitat of animals further forcing them to walk into towns and cities in search of shelter. The audiences were explained on how we should conserve wildlife by planting more trees. Later, children danced enthusiastically on a foot tapping number'Garje Gajraj Hamare'.

Towards the end, children were made aware of the 'Thanksgiving Day' which is celebrated every year on 28th November in USA. They were explained the significance of the day through a video and the need to express gratitude towards people that are valuable in our lives. A group dance performance by the teachers and studentsbrought a smile on each child’s face.

Children and teachers were appreciated by the Section CoordinatorMs.PoojaShandilya for their efforts and for presentinga beautiful theme on stage. The assembly ended with the singing of National Anthem.
