Biscuit Decoration Activity

Biscuit decoration activity is very engaging and a great learning experience. We brought biscuits and decorating material like gems, jam, cheese,etc for it.  We placed our biscuits , spread toppings, embellished them with gems and cherries . Our yummy snack was ready - all healthy and nutritious.

Our teachers taught us one more fact about biscuit decoration. We should make some for our mama, papa and grandparents who always bring us gifts. We are so proud that we can be called young chefs now!

Using Realia to teach English

All the sections of Preprimary Classes had a lovely activity where the children got the opportunity of building their day to day vocabulary like net, bed, bat, cat, pen, pin, hat, etc where they generally get confused. During this activity, the teachers showed the realias/real objects like a stuffed cat, a water can, a safety pin, a pen, etc and asked the children what this is? The children had to answer in full sentence saying This is a pen. The children then wrote the word in their notebooks. 

This activity helped the children in many ways-

1. It enhanced their vocabulary.
2. It helped them frame and speak in full sentences.
3. It enhanced their spellings.
4. Last but not the least, the children enjoyed and learnt new things.

Prep C Activity

Association of 3 letter words with the related pictures

Our teachers Sangita Ma'am and Tanu Ma'am took us outdoors in the wonderful winter sun and we did a fantastic English activity where we were made to sit in a circle. Our teachers gave each one of us a card with a three letter word written on it.  There were pictures of those words spread on the ground. each one of us read the word in our hand and looked for the related picture. It was fun!

We could relate to all the pictures like rag, lap, can, etc.

The activity helped us to enhance our vocabulary while we had fun. We can request our teachers to have more such activities for us.
