Using Realia to teach English
All the sections of Preprimary Classes had a lovely activity where the children got the opportunity of building their day to day vocabulary like net, bed, bat, cat, pen, pin, hat, etc where they generally get confused. During this activity, the teachers showed the realias/real objects like a stuffed cat, a water can, a safety pin, a pen, etc and asked the children what this is? The children had to answer in full sentence saying This is a pen. The children then wrote the word in their notebooks.

This activity helped the children in many ways-
- It enhanced their vocabulary.
- It helped them frame and speak in full sentences.
- It enhanced their spellings.
- Last but not the least, the children enjoyed and learnt new things.
Just to request dont make these small children sit on the bare floor. Its so cold , they can fell ill.
